We had a great time last Friday night and it was great to see the group back in action. The hard core regulars showed up in force and there was lots of new faces. Looking forward to the rest of the summer!

The crowd went all out for the last tasting of the year. Tons of great wines covering a wide range of cabs and cab blends. My teeth are still purple!

Kind of a different twist this time, but some things never change…lots of killer red wines!

Great food and people!

Everything held up great, with the exception of one wine that was not really designed to age anyway.

Yep, once again we tried some classic wines. A little bit of everything, actually, and that’s what we hoped would happen. Fun people and great times…what else can you ask for?
Oh yeah, the food! I’m still full!!!

Wow. That’s all I got to say. We had some killer wines here thanks to some very generous contributions. Silver Oak Napa, Martinelli, Clarendon Hills…and the list goes on. Even brought a Retsina for Brian “Retsina” Criswell! Somehow, that was the only bottle that didn’t get drained.

So good that we had to get a second bottle! A slightly sparkling wine, this bottle was the favorite of a tasting where there were over 20 bottles.

Knocking out a couple tasty Barolos, the 2009 Amarone pretty much unanimously took the day.
